Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous as a character on the popular TV show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started in his early college days. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies and in television shows, it is the characters portrayed on small screens which have earned him acclaim. His ability to play characters from both sides of the law is a draw for viewers. His first project was a television show, and later, he played as a detective with the NYPD.
